Chad Childers administered the internal Web Hub at Ford Motor Company
for four years, and was instrumental in establishing much of the
structure and administrative procedures for the Web at Ford.  He has
been involved in the Ford Web Admins Group since the beginning in 1993,
chaired it since 1995, and had editorial responsibility for the
corporate Center of Excellence for Web Technology.  He was a driving
force behind corporate support of vital infrastructure elements
including USENET News, and for this sin was doomed to be corporate
newsmaster for a few years.
