Chad Childers is an encryption architect in ITI Security Services at Ford Motor Company, and is currently responsible for secure email and encryption tools. He was deeply involved in Ford's ground- breaking Web Single Login project, and was instrumental in establishing much of the structure and administrative procedures for the Web at Ford. He was responsible for the first web server at Ford, in 1993, administered the Ford Web Hub, and started the corporate Center of Excellence for Web Technology. He was a driving force behind corporate support of vital infrastructure elements including Perl and USENET News.
